Scientific Inventions

Stamp series celebrating the scientific inventions of both Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison. This commission celebrates (in 2022) 175 years since the birth of Bell and Edison as well as 100 years since the death of Bell.

Some of the inventions profiled in the series include the original telephone and various future iterations, the phonograph, the kinetoscope and metal detector amongst others.

For the first day cover which features both inventors, notebooks from both Bell and Edison whilst they were conducting their research was the inspiration for the text details on the envelope.
